Can you think of the worst day you've ever had? Maybe you lost a loved one? Maybe your child was really sick or hurt? Maybe you were moving? Whatever your worst day ever was, imagine doing it alone. Or imagine doing it while you haven't talked to your husband in weeks, and seen him in months. What about giving birth alone? Raising children alone? What about dealing with loss alone? This is the life of Marine Wives, Marine Moms, Marine Daughters, Marine Sons, Marine Husbands, Marine Brothers, the list goes on.
Loved, yet alone. Happy, yet alone. Together, yet alone. Sempfer Fidelis, yet alone.
If you don't understand, we don't expect you to, how could you?
You get upset because your son in college hasn't called you this week, you get angry because your boyfriend is going on a week vacation and you can't see him, you get upset because your husband will miss the party this weekend because he has a business trip.

I was wondering if someone could please help me. My boyfriend is in the Marines, currently at Camp Lejeune. Everyone thinks it is so stupid that I am with someone who I never see, and have a long distance relationship with. I have heard many horror stories about Marines cheating, and I am constantly shaking, wondering what is going to happen and if he is going to hurt me. I love him so much and I am willing to wait for him, but its only his second day at Camp Lejeune and I am already freaking out. This is only the beginning of his term, and with that in mind, I dont know if my heart is strong enough to deal with this for years to come. I have been cheated on so much, and I really cant trust anyone. I am willing to wait because I love him very much. Does anyone have a cure for the Marine blues? Please call me, I really need someone to talk to. 561-506-3925

Kate - Please let me know what you find out! I am in the same boat, except Chase leaves for SD in December. He will be in Pensacola for Aircraft mechanic training afterwards. I don't have a clue on what to expect and I can't seem to find any answers, either.

I am newly engaged to my Christopher who just left for boot in S.D. We are getting married in September on his ten day leave. I was hoping someone could tell me if i will be able to live with him while he is in Aircraft Tech school in Pennsacola Fl. Any info about marrying into the marines would be amazing. I feel i'm doing this all alone but understand thats all part of it!
Like i said " he enlisted, i was drafted " :)

My husband recently graduated from bootcamp and he was home for 10 days. We had the best ten days ever. He left to North Carolina for MCT and then from there he goes to his MOS school in Missouri. I miss him so much already, but I know that he is okay and that we will be together again soon. We have a 16 month year old daughter and I am glad to have her she is the reason I have the strength to get up in the morning because I miss my husband so much. To all the Marine wives stay strong and never let people say to you why you are still in a relationship that you are basically alone. Trust me you are not alone our husbands are with us in our hearts and we need to be strong for them while they are gone because that gives them strengh as well. So stay strong...Oorah!

Me n my husband got marries on his 10 day boot leave, ive probably seen him 3 weeks this year, i miss him so much and he's about to be done with his training in texas, He's going to be stationed in Camp Pendleton in California and im glad his training is over but it is going to be like another month or two before i can live with him so he is going to live in the dorms until a house opens up in base housing for us to live together. But i get to talk to him everyday and thats more than some wives get being married to a marine, it wont be much longer....
